Review: Super You! by Anne Kennedy Brady and Illustrated by Ela Smietanka

Super You! was a fun board book with colorful, engaging illustrations that would be an enthusiastic read aloud. What a great message that the book shares with your child. The book celebrates all the ways your child embodies a superhero. It compares superhero qualities with personal traits celebrating them. This would be a book that would spark their imagination and make them feel good about themselves. One thing I absolutely loved was how the book represented so many different types of people which in turn they could see themselves. I know I'm not the target reader but that inner kid in me thoroughly enjoyed it. I think you will love this one.

Review: What Do You See? by Barney Saltzberg

What Do You See is a different type of book for kids that I feel would inspire their creativity and imagination. The simplicity of the concept was engaging and fun. I thoroughly enjoyed how these two different perspectives came together through their a shared experience promoting the endless possibilities of your imagination.

Jamie Lee Curtis took photographs of the things she liked and Barney Saltzberg drew on those pictures of the things he saw. I enjoyed the anticipation of each page opening up to see how each other connected through the pictures. I feel from a child's perspective, this would be an exciting and fun experience that would a good bonding experience. It will encourage them to learn how others see things and embrace another perspective.

Overall, I found the book really interesting.

Review: Where's My Easter Basket by Bob Holt

Where's My Easter Basket by Bob Holt is a cute board book that will be a fun addition to your collection that can be read over again. In this book, the little blue bird is asked if he has his Easter basket. Not knowing what that was, with the help of some friends, we see if he can get his answer in time for Easter.

This is such a fun book. What I love about his books is that you learn and it has a great takeaway involving how valuable and meaningful friendships are. The illustrations are vibrant and engaging and like his other books give the young reader a wonderful story to be excited about. If you have come across Bob before, make you explore his other books.
