Liz Fenton and Lisa Steinke, authors of The Status of All Things, were excited enough to share two recipes! Liz delivers brussel sprouts with bacon, while Lisa shares the recipe for yams with marshmallows and cinnamon.
Liz’s recipe: Brussel Sprouts with bacon. Cut Brussel sprouts into quarters and chop up a pound of bacon and a medium onion. Throw it all into a glass casserole dish and toss with olive oil and salt and pepper. Cover with foil and bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Delish!
Lisa’s recipe: Yams with marshmallows and cinnamon: Peel yams and cut them in cubes, cover with marshmallows and sprinkle with cinnamon. Cut the yams in cubes and throw in several squares of butter and bake at 350 for 50 minutes, then up the temp of the oven to 500 and add marshmallows and brown sugar (Up to you how much!). Let everything crystalize and get gooey for about 5-10 more minutes. #nomnom
